How many hours does it take to beat Baldur's Gate 3? ›

When focusing on the main objectives, Baldur's Gate 3 is about 68 Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 161 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

Karmic Dice, which are enabled by default, avoid failure streaks, while keeping the results mostly random. It's a sort of bad luck protection in Baldur's Gate 3, a setting that effectively manipulates dice rolls to prevent characters from having long streaks of good or bad rolls.

Bear in mind that you'll need plenty of camp supplies to fully restore your hit points and spell slots. Additionally, if you long rest while there's a fire raging in an inn, for example, you could cause time to pass and fail the objective, triggering some of those negative consequences we talked about earlier.

Having completed the game myself Act 2 is by far the shortest. Act 1 is the longest followed by Act 3. But then that could change depending on what you choose to do in each. However, I did not find much to do in Act 2 even after attempting to find things to do.

Being a Dungeons & Dragons-based game, Baldur's Gate 3 has a wealth of intricate systems — exploration, combat, and roleplay — that feed into one another and fuel the kinds of emergent gameplay that's made this game so phenomenally successful.

For that reason, we suggest freeing and not mutilating this new lifeform. Us is basically a small, temporary advantage in the earliest chapter of the game - a controllable, and pretty powerful (if limited) ally who has a lot of health and some good melee attacks that match many of the standard Baldur's Gate 3 weapons.

However, its superiority in Baldur's Gate 3 doesn't stop there. The Everburn Blade equips players with fundamental attack maneuvers. Overall, it stands out as one of — if not the most — most potent weapons in the game.

The best classes in BG3 are Bard, Rogue, Wizard, Cleric, and Paladin, as they are the best at fulfilling their role. All five of these classes are able to accomplish their specialty better than any other, even if just by a small margin.

1: Yes, going evil will have some companions leave you (specifically Karlach, Wyll, and Gale... though I think you can persuade Gale into staying.). In return you do get a couple evil companions. 2: While it is entirely possible to do an evil playthrough, doing so cuts out a massive portion of the game's content.

Can you become a mind flayer in Baldur's Gate 3? ›

During Baldur's Gate 3, The Guardian will readily recommend the use of Illithid Powers, promising great powers if you do so. At one point, you will be offered an Astral-Touched Tadpole, but taking it will turn you into a half-Mind Flayer.

Baldur's Gate 3 romances are not gender-locked either. For potential Dark Urge players, your violent intrusive thought generator doesn't have a huge impact on romance scenes, but it's worth considering when you go through character creation.

Gold Dwarf is an obvious pick for a tanky Barbarian or Fighter, especially if you take Tough as well with a feat. best races overall IMO are Wood/Drow Half-Elf, Githyanki, and Lightfoot Halfling. Sorcerer is considerably less forgiving for an unfamiliar player due to the limited spell picks and lack of fallback.

Larian has always given the official length of a “normal” Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough at between 75-100 hours. That's one playthrough, normal combat, normal exploration, fixed decision making, beginning to end.

Baldur's Gate 3 is based on Dungeons & Dragons 5e but has a maximum level of 12, not the tabletop RPG's maximum level of 20. Expansion of the level cap is unlikely.

Act 1 took me about 45 hours or so, but I did a ton of exploring. Act 2 is significantly shorter, and Act 3 length is about the same as Act 1, if you decide to do all the side quests and such. 60 hours for act 1 is overkill tbh. i beat the game at about 65 hours.
