iBWAVE DESIGN ENTERPRISE

Added Stencils for Outdoor Modelling and Material Properties Enhancements

In the latest release, we’ve added new sample stencils for outdoor modeling, including vehicles, vegetation, and poles. Stencils now also retain all material RF and cosmetic properties and textures, so you don’t need to have the same materials in your components database to use them.

GPU Accelerated Predictions

You can now reach up to 5X faster predictions compared to release 19.2, allowing you to rapidly optimize your design when building and predicting complex projects on a GPU! This will not only empower you to design wireless networks faster, but also make your network designs even more accurate by making optimizations less time-consuming.

When using GPU Acceleration, performance will depend highly on the selection of the GPU and CPU pairing in the system. While the GPU performs rapid mathematical computations, its performance is constrained by the capabilities of the CPU, SSD, and RAM. Following GPU acceleration, the remaining prediction steps remain reliant on the CPU.

With the optimal GPU and CPU pairing and PC setup, you can potentially save even tens of hours on each prediction run on very complex projects with multiple wireless services, such as stadiums, airports, or other large buildings. The time savings tend to scale with the project's size, complexity, and number of wireless services.

Wireless Service Template Enhancements

Streamline and expedite the design process for multi-carrier projects with our latest release's wireless service template enhancements! Now, you can save the Wireless Service Template along with project settings, eliminating the hassle of recreating lengthy service lists. Additionally, you can effortlessly modify templates by adding or removing services for future projects.

Ultra-High Fiber Support

To better support ultra-high fiber components, fiber components now support higher port and strand limits. Parts now support up to 576 optical ports and up to 6912 fiber strands.

Global Stencil Library Privileges

Unity Administrators can now set access privileges for the Global Stencil Library. Users can be set with either no access, read-only access, or read-write access through the Unity admin tools.

Role-Based Global Stencil Library Privileges

To better maintain the integrity of the Global Stencil Library contents, Unity Administrators can now set role-based access privileges to Unity users.

Under ‘Storage Privileges’, admins can set the following:

  • Public Read Access: grants read-only access to the Global Stencil Library. Users can view and use stencils in the Design/FiberPass Desktop application.
  • Public Write Access: grants read-write access to the Global Stencil Library. Users can add, delete, view, and use stencils in the Design/FiberPass Desktop application.
  • Private Access: privilege reserved for future use.
  • If none of the above access options are enabled, users in this role will be denied access to view or use stencils in the Design/FiberPass Desktop application.
