Scott's Parents Passed Away Within Three Months Of Each Other
As reported by Refinery 29, Scott's parents, Bonnie and Jeffrey Disick died within three months of one another, leaving behind their only child. Although it has been reported by The Los Angeles Times that his mother died in October 2013 after a "long illness," her cause of death has never been revealed. The same mystery lies behind his father's death in January 2014. While it has been speculated, from a comment by Scott on a previous episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, his father battled cancer, the cause has not been disclosed.
Scott Opened Up On Keeping Up With The Kardashians
In a vulnerable conversation with Kim Kardashian in an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Scott opened up about the death of his parents. "Losing my parents is not an easy subject for me to talk about. It puts me in a very vulnerable place, to remember them and think about them," he shared during his confessional. In an attempt to get comfortable sharing more about his parents with his three kids, Scott reached out to his dad's best friend, David Hacker. The two have dinner and reminisce over old photos, providing Kourtney Kardashian's ex with an opportunity to reflect on good memories.
Scott's attempt to overcome his discomfort by talking about his parents is a relatable moment for those who have lost their parents and/or loved ones.
