What You Will DoThe Sr. Systems Analyst role within IT is responsible for EPIC systems analysis, consulting with users and stakeholders to determine software and system functional specifications. This role focuses on application support on the Core Patient Portal team, supporting a custom mobile application built over the Epic MyChart foundation, Epic Video Client (telehealth), Bedside, Welcome, Hello World, and Cheers. This role is responsible for enhancement, design, build, and implementing more complex changes and resolving more complex issues in partnership with in-house developers. Possess expertise in application functional use and design, APIs, documentation, analysis, system modification and testing. Brings competency to application and administration duties required to support Sharp's environment in a highly available manner. Promotes the effective and efficient use of computing resources and facilitates client workflows. Will manage IT project initiatives, provide planning activities, and act as a mentor to peers. Exercises discretion with independent thought and judgment. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
5 Years relevant experience.
Leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
5 Years healthcare or related subject matter experience.
3 Years system analyst role.
Project Management experience.
Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification - Various-No accreditation board -PREFERRED

System configuration and testing System configuration, change management, and testing competency statement: Demonstrates advanced skill set for the Application Support, Enhancement, Design, Build and Implementation for complex changes. Ensures the appropriate use of test environments. Develops and executes plans for application functional use and design, development, documentation, analysis, modification and testing. Consistently maintains software changes across the production and test environments according to IS policy. Keeps all environments synchronized. Develops test scripts that include standard functionality, client workflow, tables/dictionaries, screen design, system options and rules. Does not cause production delays due to negligence or failure to follow established procedures. Mentors staff regarding change management procedures. Follows scheduled and unscheduled Downtime Processes, disaster recovery procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to Sharp Security policies. Awareness of vendor SLAs. response time, resolution time and escalation time and intervenes as requested by management on vendor issues. Awareness of vendor contract clauses and intervenes as requested by management on contractual issues.
Develops System Documentation For On-call And Other Operational Requirements.Proactively maintains system architecture as needed.
Completes peer review process per change management guidelines.
Creates Test Strategy documents to describe the testing approach for large and complex projects.
Develops User Acceptance Testing plans and works with team members to ensure the plans are followed.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Must have strong leadership skills and experience.
Knowledge of clinical and business operations in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge of hospital and clinic culture, regulatory requirements (e.g., JCAHO), and health care requirements as it relates to information security and privacy (e.g., HIPAA).
Proficiency in the applications supported by the department, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Project Web App.
Must be able to calmly and professionally respond to frequent deadlines for reports and related tasks, and to prepare work and presentations on short notice.
Use telephone frequently; must be able to hear and speak clearly by telephone.
